The DoD Transition Assistance Program

Published on Jan 31, 2017
We are the United States Department of Defense.

Every year, as a matter of course, roughly 200,000 Service members separate from our ranks seeking to further their education or join the national workforce.

While they differ in age, rank, and occupational specialty, our transitioning Service members have one thing in common.

They have all received some of the world's best training ... not only in technical skills but in areas such as leadership, team-building, decision-making, discipline, critical thinking, project planning,
dependability, and in handling work stress.

These are the same skills that the U.S. Department of Labor defines as essential for the 21st Century workforce.

As employers across America welcome our transitioning Service members, they not only invest in the future of that Service member and his or her family, but they're also investing in their own future ... In their business's culture, integrity, and work ethic.

assistance program at d-o-d-tap-dot-mil. And please select "Contact Us" to ask about how to connect to our transitioning service members.
